Almost 3,5 million passengers used the metro last week

Last week, July 11-18, planned repair work was carried out in the Kyiv metro. There are 51 rail sleepers, 8 turnouts and 50 meters of rails were replaced. Capital repairs of the escalators at the “Zoloti Vorota” – “Teatralna” transfer hub and at the “Kontraktova Ploshcha” station are ongoing.

Last week, 3.3 million passengers used the Kyiv metro, of which 805,000 were beneficiaries.

We remind that the metro fare can be paid with a transport card, a qr-ticket, a qr-code generated in the “Kyiv Digital” application, a contactless card, ApplePay and Google Pay mobile applications. If air raid sirens go off, trains running on the overground section of lines will be halted. All the underground metro stations operate as shelters 24/7. During the curfew from 23:00 to 05:00:

when the subway is used as a shelter, it is necessary to have an ID document.

the passage to the station for shelter is provided by law enforcement officers. The police contact is located at the entrance. You can also use the bell near the front door to call the guard.

at night, the same lobby is open as during the day shift.
