Asters bloom in the Hryshko National Botanical Garden in Kyiv

This was reported in the Hryshko National Botanical Garden.

The message noted that mid-August delights visitors with fall flower arrangements. The real queens of the Seasons section are currently the species of the one-year aster collection. The collection supports 164 varieties of world and Ukrainian breeding, more than 15 species are created in the National Botanical Garden.

“To get this August extravaganza, which we expect every year, and which is an irreplaceable seasonal accent of our collections, it was necessary to grow seedlings in March. This year it was almost impossible, Kyiv suffered from shelling, and the temperature in the greenhouses of the botanical garden was almost the same as outside,” the post noted.
