British Foreign Secretary: Russia trying to ‘freeze’ Ukrainians into submission

That’s according to Sky News.

James Cleverly spoke with journalists in Bucharest ahead of a NATO foreign ministerial set to discuss additional support for Ukraine.

“We have seen Vladimir Putin attempting to weaponize energy supplies right from the very start of this conflict,” the top diplomat said, adding that the targeting of energy infrastructure “is obviously designed to try and freeze the Ukrainians in submission.”

As reported, on Tuesday, November 29, a two-day meeting of NATO foreign ministers kicks off in Bucharest, where the allies will discuss the most important issues of Euro-Atlantic security. Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, will also meet NATO foreign ministers.

Over the past two weeks, Ukraine has been subjected to the most extensive shelling over the entire period of the full-scale war. On November 15, Russia fired about 100 missiles at Ukrainian cities and villages. On November 23, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 51 of 70 incoming cruise missiles and five kamikaze drones that Russian forces launched at Ukraine.
