This was announced by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Spokesperson of the Ministry, Wang Wenbin, stated that China will send a delegation to the meeting in Jeddah concerning Ukraine. Beijing will be represented by its special envoy on Eurasian affairs, Li Hui, who visited Ukraine in May.
“China is ready to work with the international community to continue playing a constructive role in promoting a political settlement of the crisis in Ukraine”, the statement said.
Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that China is increasingly facing risks due to the war in Ukraine, although Beijing is still trying to maintain neutrality and provide unofficial support to Russia.
