EU ambassadors approve EUR 18B support package to Ukraine

The Czech Presidency of the EU Council wrote this on Twitter.

“Ambassadors in principle unanimously approved a financial support package to provide Ukraine with €18 billion in 2023. EU2022CZ keeps its promise to help Ukraine stand up to Russia and the EU remains united,” the report says.

Financing can be carried out in regular tranches as loans on preferential terms.

As reported, the Council of the European Union reached agreement on a legislative package which will enable the EU to help Ukraine financially throughout 2023 with EUR 18 billion.
