The Ministry of Defense of Finland said the decision had been made by President Sauli Niinisto at the government’s proposal on Thursday, November 17.
Defense Minister Antti Kaikkonen emphasized that this is already the tenth aid package to Ukraine that is coming from Finland.
“Now the largest supply of defense equipment is being prepared,” he said.
It is noted that both the needs of Ukraine and the situation with Finland’s own defense resources were taken into account.
For operational reasons and to ensure safe delivery, the contents of the package have not been disclosed. The cost of batch stands at EUR 55.6 million.
As reported earlier, Finland sent additional civilian material aid to Ukraine.
