First ship with Ukrainian grain arrives in Africa as part of UN programme

The bulk carrier Brave Commander is loaded with 23,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat. After unloading, it will be delivered to consumers in Ethiopia.

“We continue working with the UN World Food Programme to increase the amount of food aid. I am grateful to our partners for their cooperation,” said Oleksandr Kubrakov, the Ukrainian Minister of Infrastructure.

Brave Commander arrived at the port of Pivdennyi (South) on 12 August, and left for Ethiopia on 16 August.
