In the capital during 155 days of full-scale war, 9,800 couples were married, and 5,795 babies were born. Mykola Povoroznyk, the first deputy chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration, announced this on Facebook.
“The war continues, no matter how scary it sounds. Every day, the aggressor country rains deadly missiles on Ukraine, killing peaceful Ukrainians and their children. Despite this, we believe that victory is ours, because the truth is with us. And every day, each of us does everything to win. All infrastructure works in the city under martial law. Every day the streets of the capital are full of life. Every day new families are created, and new lives are born in the capital’s maternity hospitals. In the 155 days since the beginning of the large-scale war, 9,800 couples were married in the capital. Since February 24, 5,795 babies were born in Kyiv: 3,053 boys and 2,742 girls. There are 112 twins and triplets among the newborns,” Povoroznyk said.
