This decision was made during a meeting of the regional commission on technogenic and ecological safety and emergencies on January 24, as reported by the head of Donetsk Regional State Administration, Vadym Filashkin.
“Today, we have decided to start [evacuation] in certain settlements of the Mar’yinska and Ocheretynska communities. Currently, there are still 72 children residing there”, he stated.
Filashkin reminded that forced evacuation has been ongoing since April of the previous year in some communities near the front line, including the communities of Volnovakha, Pokrovsk, Kramatorsk, and Bakhmut districts.
