Foreign Policy writes about this with reference to European officials.
According to a European diplomat explained to the publication on the condition of anonymity, the growing shortage of high-precision missiles on the part of Russia is of particular concern. That’s why officials are worried, because if kremlin decides to fire missiles on Kyiv, it will inevitably lead to civilian casualties. The diplomat noted that loading high-precision weapons, such as the Kalibr cruise missiles, could take several days.
According to the publication’s interlocutor in the Ukrainian government, russian strikes is unlikely to target foreign embassies.
It is reported that earlier the US Embassy in Kyiv also called on US citizens to leave Ukraine as soon as possible by ground transport with reference to the State Department’s message that Russia may launch strikes against Ukrainian civilian infrastructure and government facilities.
