Public activist and political expert Andrii Smoliy reported this.
The activist published a response letter to the Kyiv City Administration to the “Jura” youth club, which asked the Department of Science and Education to hold classes in Russian. The Kyiv City State Administation responded with a refusal.
The response of the Department of Education in Kyiv stated that as of July 1, 2022, the curriculum for 2022-2023 does not provide for the teaching of subjects in Russian and the study of Russian is optional.
“I hope it will be so. We will monitor the situation from September 1,” Smoliy added.
