“We stand firmly on the side of Ukraine. Federal Minister of Justice Marco Buschmann left last night to visit the country. One thing is clear: we are providing financial, military and humanitarian support – and will continue to do so. We will not give up freedom and justice!” the report reads.
The program of the visit includes negotiations with the Ukrainian authorities and human rights defenders.
The main topic of the negotiations is the international prosecution of war criminals. Germany wants to support Ukraine in this matter, German legislation provides for the possibility of prosecuting criminals for crimes committed outside the territory of Germany.
