Before that, Ukraine’s top diplomat informed that the negotiations between the foreign ministers had been interrupted by an air raid so the diplomats had to continue them in a bomb shelter.
Dendias thanked Kuleba for the meeting which took place in extraordinary circumstances, amid Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities.
“These attacks kill and injure dozens of innocent people. Greece condemns these attacks in the strongest possible terms. I consider these attacks to be war crimes,” Dendias said.
He noted that he was visiting Ukraine already for the third time since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
“I believe that my current visit is symbolic. I want to use it to express the complete solidarity of the Greek government led by Prime Minister Mitsotakis, the Greek people with the Ukrainian government and the Ukrainian people. Being here, I will reaffirm the position that Greece always adheres to: full respect for international law, territorial integrity and sovereignty are sacred principles for us,” the minister stressed.
As reported, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Nikos Dendias makes a visit to Kyiv on Wednesday, October 19.
