“My commitment is to reach a solution as soon as possible. I hope by the end of the year,” Grossi said.
In this regard, Grossi did not rule out meeting Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“Our goal is to avoid a nuclear accident, not to create a military situation that would favour either one party or the other,” Grossi added.
A reminder that Russian troops seized Zaporizhzhia NPP on March 4, 2022. Since then, Russian invaders have been deploying military equipment and ammunition within the plant’s industrial site, shelling the plant and adjacent territories, causing damage to power transmission lines and provoking external power outages.
