“The Senate of Ireland made a really historic decision, recognizing the Holodomor of 1932-33 in Ukraine as a genocide against the Ukrainian people,” the diplomatic mission said.
The embassy added that Ireland remains a true friend of Ukraine in its continued and unwavering support and is not afraid to call things by their proper names.
“We are grateful to everyone who took a direct part in the preparation and adoption of this extremely important decision,” the diplomatic mission said.
As reported, lawmakers of both houses of the Parliament of Romania voted at a joint meeting on November 23 in favor of a declaration condemning the man-made famine (Holodomor) in Ukraine in 1932-1933.
