Kyiv residents demand a ban on the use of electric scooters

This is stated in the text of the petition on the Kyiv City Council website.

“Pedestrians no longer feel safe on sidewalks and pedestrian zones. Only recently did it become known about a fatal accident as a result of a pedestrian being hit by a scooter. Since the movement of scooters is not regulated at a sufficient level and, considering the safety of movement in the city, I ask to ban the rental of scooters in Kyiv”, – Myroslav Dovhoshey, the author of the petition says.

We will remind that in the last story involving an electric scooter on Lesya Ukrainka Boulevard, a 20-year-old boy hit a man. He died.
