Kyiv saw multiple rocket attacks. The aerial threat in the capital lasted over 7 hours

According to preliminary information, 6 people were killed, and 51 individuals were wounded by Russian strikes on Kyiv today. 42 people were hospitalized.

As a result of the barbarous Russian strikes on the capital and the region’s critical infrastructure sites, an emergency shutdown of electricity was enacted. Electricity is being partially limited to industrial clients and some residential clients.

As a result of the rocket attack, the contact network of the capital’s trolleybus was damaged in some areas of the city center. Kyivpastrans employees promptly began to restore trolleybus traffic in the city. Part of the damage was repaired by 12:25. Work on restoring trolleybus traffic is scheduled to be fully completed for the morning of October 11.

The city authorities urge residents and businesses to limit their electricity consumption from 17:00 to 22:00.

Owners of advertising structures and signboards are asked to switch off their lighting, LED screens, and media facades from 17:00 to 22:00. Retail and consumer services entrepreneurs are also asked to turn off the lighting for signs and shop windows from 17:00. Kyiv residents are kindly asked not to use energy-consuming appliances at this time.

All city services are working in emergency mode.

City authorities urge residents not to ignore air raid sirens and to immediately head to shelters. Consider taking warm clothing, water, food supplies, and telephone chargers with you. As a reminder, underground metro stations function as shelters 24/7.

Kyivans are urged to remain vigilant and to only use official information sources.

In addition to the electric siren system, notifications about air raid alert activations and cancellations are published in the KSCA’s Telegram channel available at https://t.me/KyivCityOfficial and in the Kyiv Digital (Київ Цифровий) app, which can be downloaded at.

A map of bomb shelters is available here.
