Last week, almost 3.4 million passengers used the Kyiv Metro

This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.

The report noted that last week, from August 1 to 8, 3.4 million passengers used the Kyiv Metro, 819,000 of whom were beneficiaries.

During this time, the company’s specialists carried out the necessary planned repairs. In particular, 59 sleepers, 15 beams on turnouts and 35 meters of rail were replaced. Repairs of the escalators at the “Golden Gate” (Zoloti Vorota – ed.) – “Teatralna” transfer stations and at the “Kontraktova Ploshcha” metro station are also processing.

The departure intervals of trains during peak hours are 4-5 minutes, during off-peak hours – 8-10 minutes. Detailed schedule of the train operation is available at the link.

During an air raid siren, the movement of trains on the ground sections is suspended, while underground stations work around the clock as shelters. At night, the same hub is open as during the day shift.

Access to the station during the curfew (from 23:00 to 05:00) during the air raid sirens:

when entering the subway as a shelter, it is necessary to have an ID;

the passage to the station for shelter is provided by law enforcement officers. The police contact is located at the entrance. You can also use the bell near the front door to call the guard.
