A mass fish death was recorded on Olesnytsky Lake in Boryspil, Kyiv region. In order to find out its cause, experts analyzed water and fish, Boryspil Mayor Volodymyr Borysenko reports.
“We do not exclude either natural factors that could have caused the death of the fish, or pollution by waste,” Borysenko said.
According to TRS Boryspil, two tractor-trailers of dead fish have been removed from the Olesnytskyi Lake. Catfish, pike, and carp died in the reservoir.
Cleaning the lake from dead fish was not only done by utility workers, but also by volunteers of the “Sturm” fire brigade.
