NBU sold $583.4M on interbank foreign exchange market in past week

According to data provided on the central bank’s website, following foreign exchange interventions, between December 5 and December 9,  2022, the National Bank sold $583.44 million on the interbank foreign exchange market and bought $2.6 million.

Since the start of 2022, the National Bank bought $3.24 billion and EUR 110.97 million and sold $23.99 billion and EUR 1.789 billion.

As reported, the National Bank sold $1,276 billion and purchased $3.691 billion on the interbank foreign exchange market in 2021. In 2020, the central bank sold $3.891 billion and purchased $4.929 billion on the interbank foreign exchange market in 2020.
