As noted, Russia has launched numerous attacks targeting Ukraine’s power grids since October. Despite all the efforts of the Ukrainians, it is becoming increasingly difficult to carry out repairs, in particular, due to the lack of materials. The Netherlands cooperates with the European Commission to organize logistics. Transportation to Ukraine is compensated by the EU humanitarian aid organization.
“Ukrainians are now having an extremely difficult winter because of Russian bombings. Many of them live without heat and electricity. By supplying transformers, cables and other items, we help alleviate this suffering. We have been standing with Ukraine since the beginning of the war. We will continue doing it,” Liesje Schreinemacher, Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, stressed.
