New IMF mission to start work on Ukraine from Nov 11 – NBU Governor

The relevant statement was made by National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Governor Andriy Pyshnyy at a briefing.

“Agreements will be finalized following the results of the second mission, starting its work on November 11. We expect that it will last until November 17. The technical discussions, involving me and the Finance Minister, should develop a general shape of the monitoring program itself, which will lay the basis for the National Bank’s action plan in the coming years and the extended funding program, which the Ukrainian team is counting on,” Pyshnyy told.

A reminder that, on October 11, 2022, Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) discussed the possibility of launching a new loan program to ensure the priority expenditures of Ukraine’s state budget for 2023. Ukraine is planning to receive $20 billion from the United States and the IMF next year.
