This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA), Serhiy Popko.
“Today, during the night, the enemy carried out another air attack on the capital of Ukraine. This time, the weapon of attack was Shahed UAVs, launched by the enemy from the Kursk region, RF,” he said.
According to Popko, the enemy drones approached Kyiv from the north. The air alarm in the capital lasted almost an hour. With the efforts and means of air defense, all Shahed UAVs of the enemy, which were heading towards Kyiv, approximately a dozen and a half, were shot down even on the outskirts of the city.
It should be noted that on March 15, Russian occupiers also launched 7 Zenit guided missiles C-300/400 at Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, one guided aviation missile Kh-59 at Poltava region, and released 27 Shahed drones. On the evening of March 14, Russians attacked Vinnytsia region with Shahed drones. One drone hit a residential building.
