Opinion: Zaluzhnyi could become a frontrunner in the presidential elections if Zelensky dismisses him

Political analyst Volodymyr Fesenko mentioned this on the KYIV24 channel.

In his opinion, the situation on the front will not worsen in this case.

“I’m not worried about Valeriy Fedorovych because if he is dismissed, the situation on the front will not worsen. But he will definitely become one of the main frontrunners in the next presidential elections. There is an obvious team. If he is fired, he will become the center of forming a new political force in a short time”, Fesenko said.

The political analyst also predicts that in the event of Zaluzhnyi’s dismissal, opposition forces in parliament may start promoting the idea of immediate elections, even during the war.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he is considering changes in the leadership of the country, but did not specify whether this concerns Zaluzhnyi.
