Russia has reportedly used ballistic missiles obtained from North Korea in Ukraine, according to Defense Express citing its own sources.

The debris analysis of the missiles that fell in Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv indicates the use of Russian forces of KN-23 ballistic missiles supplied by North Korea. This information has also been confirmed by the United States, which officially stated that Russia possesses short-range ballistic missiles from North Korea and launched them into Ukraine. The first launch occurred on December 30, 2023 (resulting in an impact in Zaporizhzhia), and several others took place on January 2 during a massive missile attack.

While the Ukrainian Air Force has not yet officially confirmed the use of Russian ballistic missiles from North Korea, experts are examining the missile debris.

In late December and early January, Russia conducted two large-scale missile attacks on Ukrainian territory, launching at least 500 missiles and strike drones.
