This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu, reports russian media RBC.
According to Shoigu, on April 3, at one of the Russian training grounds in Belarus military training on the systems «Iskander-M» has begun.
“The Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system was handed over to the Armed Forces of Belarus. It can use both conventional and nuclear missiles”, – Shoigu said.
In addition, he added, that some Belarusian attack aviation can now use “destructive means in nuclear equipment”.
The head of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation insists that these measures are allegedly necessary to defend the security of the Union State.
As known, Russia previously announced its intention to deploy nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus.
