This was announced by the spokesperson for the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Natalia Humeniuk, during a televised marathon.
“We already have preliminary results – 24 ‘Shaheed’ drones were destroyed in our area of responsibility. These are the southern and southeastern regions of Ukraine. We will compile and provide the final results later”, Humeniuk said.
As Humeniuk pointed out, the majority of enemy drones are launched from the south, likely due to the convenient location of their bases and logistics, which are taken into account when transporting UAVs. Additionally, the flight route of the drones partially passes through temporarily occupied territory, which, according to the enemy’s belief, provides some level of secrecy.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a total of 29 “Shaheed” drones were launched into Ukrainian territory during the night.
It should be recalled that on the night of October 1st, the air defense systems destroyed 16 out of 30 “Shaheed” drones launched by the Russians.
