Russians have established approximately 70 camps for the “re-education” of Ukrainian children

This was stated by the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmytro Lubinets, during a telethon.

“All of them are registered; this is an official educational program on the territory of the Russian Federation for Ukrainian children. I emphasize that they are trying to enroll Ukrainian children in various military organizations and put them through such ‘education’. The Russians are doing this not just consciously; they want to raise a new generation of Russian servicemen from Ukrainian children who, in the future, probably, in the Russians’ opinion, should fight again against Ukraine or other states. This is the modern-day Janissary system… As of now, we can say that there are no fewer than 70 such camps operating in the Russian Federation, on temporarily occupied territories, and in Crimea”, the Commissioner for Human Rights reported.

According to him, thousands of children are “educated” in these camps. They are taught to disassemble Kalashnikov rifles, sing Russian songs, and prepare for a military career. Both boys and girls are subjected to such “re-education”.

“Consciously, the Russians are taking actions aimed at the forced displacement of children from one ethnic group to another. This is one of the signs of genocide as a war crime… Unfortunately, many international experts working on documenting war crimes still cannot find evidence of committing crimes against humanity that fall under genocide”, Lubinets emphasized.
