This was reported by the State Enterprise “National Nuclear Energy Generating Company “Energoatom,” which includes the ZNPP.
“The number of armed occupiers has significantly increased at the Russian-occupied Zaporizhia NPP. There are now over 2,500 Russian military personnel, even outnumbering the station staff”, stated Energoatom.
They added that the enemies are turning the plant into their fortified military base. The number of enemy soldiers has also increased in the temporarily occupied city of Energodar.
As we reported earlier, the occupiers prohibited ZNPP staff from communicating with each other. Recently, France called on Russia to leave the ZNPP.
Meanwhile, the occupiers at the ZNPP allegedly intend to block the station’s personnel entirely, according to Energoatom. It is known that they are installing additional barriers on the approaches to the ZNPP, effectively expanding the closed perimeter around the station as if preparing it for defense.
Now, the employees of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant will have to cover part of the distance on foot. Some Western media outlets reported that the Ukrainian army unsuccessfully attempted to retake the ZNPP.
