This was announced by the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center.
“At this moment, Russia has withdrawn practically all its units that have completed their training as part of the rotation. New units have not been introduced there”, he said.
He emphasized that there is currently no group in place for launching an invasion from Belarus into Ukraine.
Demchenko also noted that there have been no recent changes along the state border with Belarus. According to him, the situation along the border is fully under control. Border fortifications continue to be reinforced to prevent acts of sabotage or destabilization.
Earlier, the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense also reported that the number of mercenaries in Belarus had started to decrease following the death of the leader of the Wagner Private Military Company, Yevgeny Prigozhin. The situation is significantly different from what it was three weeks ago.
