Scheduled rolling blackouts to be introduced across Ukraine Friday, emergency shutdowns possible – Ukrenergo

That’s according to Ukraine’s power system operator Ukrenergo.

“Due to the sharp cooling of temperatures, power consumption is increasing every day in Ukraine’s regions where electricity supply has already been restored after massive missile strikes on the energy infrastructure on November 15. This complicates the already difficult situation in the power system,” the report reads.

It is noted that energy companies are forced to apply restrictions. This is a necessary measure to preserve the stability of the power system following Russia’s sixth targeted missile attack on energy infrastructure facilities. Repair crews are working around the clock to restore damaged infrastructure in order to bring power back to Ukrainian homes.
