“With the use of these robots, Ukrainian-speaking doctors in Spain, and later Ukrainian doctors, will be able to remotely examine and consult Ukrainian patients in the regions of the country that are the most difficult to access amid the war,” the statement reads.
Maria Karchevych, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Health for Digital Development noted that thanks to this equipment, “a patient will be able to quickly run a basic health check – measure temperature, pressure, saturation, perform an ECG and other tests, while a doctor will quickly see the results of these tests and provide advice.”
It is noted that the robots were received with the assistance of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in Ukraine. During the meeting of Spain’s Ambassador to Ukraine Ricardo Lopez-Aranda Jagu and founder of NGO “Help to Ukraine” Carlos Fernandez with representatives of the Ministry and the Electronic Health enterprise, Karchevych thanked partners for supporting the Ukrainian health care system in difficult times.
As reported, Ukraine received from partners six auto-refrigerators, 10 incubators for newborns, vaccines for influenza and COVID-19, and a number of medicines as humanitarian aid.
