State in a Smartphone: Ecuador to Create its Own App based on Ukrainian “Diia”

This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov.

“USAID Administrator Samantha Power announced another country – Ecuador! Negotiations for cooperation are ongoing with 10 other countries”, he noted.

With the support of the United States, “Diia” has introduced many useful services and digital projects that have already simplified the lives of Ukrainians and made the state more transparent. Fedorov emphasized that the United States consistently allocates funds for digitalization, and the Ukrainian government effectively utilizes them, launching revolutionary services with an anti-corruption effect.

According to him, with the support of USAID, Ukraine will export the “Ukrainian success story – Diia”. Thus, based on “Diia,” Ecuador will create its own digital product to make the state transparent and efficient. In addition, Ukraine has initiated communication with Zambia and Colombia regarding the implementation of digital products based on “Diia.”

It was also previously reported that the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Igor Klymenko, announced a significant expansion of the list of online services available in the “Diia” application. It is noted that in 2023, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Digital Transformation conducted extensive work on the digitization of services, significantly increasing the convenience of their provision for citizens.
