Sweden has provided Ukraine with 26.4 million euros to support energy efficiency projects

 According to the Ministry of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine, these funds, decided by the donors of the E5P Fund, will be directed as grant support to communities.

Specifically, these funds will support communities that receive credit funds from European financial institutions/banks for projects in centralized heating and water supply, increasing energy efficiency in municipally-owned buildings, developing urban electric transport, and renewable energy.

The ministry noted that with the support of the E5P Fund, Ukraine has already implemented 10 major infrastructure projects in the areas of centralized heating and energy efficiency measures for public buildings and energy savings.

The total amount of funds currently held by the fund is 240 million euros. In December, Sweden already provided 18.1 million euros through the E5P Fund to support Ukraine. It was also previously reported that the German government allocated an additional 88.5 million euros to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine within the European Energy Community.
