This was stated by Swedish Minister of Defense Paul Jonson, During a visit to Ukraine, according to TV4 Nyheterna.
Ukrainian pilots will undergo basic training initially on simulators and then on the actual JAS 39 Gripen aircraft.
However, Paul Jonson mentioned that currently, his country does not plan to transfer their fighter jets to Ukraine because they are “needed for our own national defense”.
It was previously reported that a Ukrainian brigade underwent classified training in Sweden on Western equipment. The Ukrainian brigade trained on Leopard 2 tanks, CV-90 combat vehicles, and Archer artillery systems.
