The “Air Alert” app will warn citizens about chemical attacks, radiation and fighting in cities

The Air alert app notifies not only about air raid sirens, but also about chemical and radiation threats and hazards. Users will receive a sound warning alert and instructions for action, the Ministry of Digital Transformation reports on Telegram.

Users will be notified of the start and end of 5 types of alarms:

  • air raid sirens;
  • shelling;
  • street fights;
  • chemical threat;
  • radiation danger.

Unique notifications are created for each type of alarm, the ministry says.

In addition to sound alerts, the application will also send text messages with recommendations for action, depending on the type of threat.

The update is available on iOS; Android; Huawei.

Information about all types of danger is transmitted by responsible operators in the regional administrations of Ukraine.

Coordination of alarms is provided by emergency services.
