“An additional 5 billion UAH was allocated today for the Security and Defense Forces. The funds will be directed towards purchasing drones necessary for our defenders on the front lines”, he emphasized.
The Prime Minister stated that the government continues to support the Ukrainian army in its fight against the Russian aggressor.
“Every hryvnia that comes into the state budget in the form of taxes will go towards strengthening our defense capability”, he said.
President Volodymyr Zelensky, during a press conference summarizing the year 2023, said that in 2024 Ukraine will produce a million UAVs. Minister of Strategic Industries Alexander Kamishin announced at the end of December 2023 that Ukraine has over 200 plants that will produce a million drones for the Armed Forces in 2024. Earlier, the CEO of Ukrainian Defense Industry, Herman Smetanin, informed in an interview with “EP” that Ukraine has started mass production of a new kamikaze drone.
