Regarding his visit, Grossi shared on his page on X: “On my 4th visit to ZNPP, assessed observance of @iaeaorg’s 5 principles for protecting the plant & status of current power and cooling systems, levels of qualified staff, among others”.
The Director-General of the IAEA emphasized that such safety and security assessments of the facility are crucial.
Recall that yesterday, the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Mariano Grossi, arrived in Kyiv for a visit and held meetings with the heads of the Ministry of Energy, State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate, and Energoatom. Grossi also had talks with President Volodymyr Zelensky, during which they discussed the current security situation at the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and the risks posed by its occupation by Russian forces.
The President also invited Grossi to participate in the Global Peace Summit.
