The head of Ukrainian Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, has enrolled in a graduate program

This information is confirmed by the university’s ranking list for the 2023-2024 academic year, as reported by Suspilne.

Kyrylo Budanov holds the top position in the ranking table for the specialty of “Political Science” in the evening form of study.

Ihor Pasichnyk, the rector of Ostroh Academy and a Hero of Ukraine, noted that the institution has gained popularity due to its notable alumni, such as General Zaluzhny and other military generals.

“Since the Chief Commander and nine military generals, including the commander of the 30th Army, have graduated from the academy, it has become popular. We have a strong, young faculty, and it’s not surprising that some of the most well-known individuals in Ukraine are enrolling in the academy for master’s or doctoral programs”, he said.

He clarified that the ranking is for admission to the graduate program and does not represent final enrollment. There is no enrollment order at the moment.

“Ostroh Academy is currently among the top three universities, not only in Ukraine. If UCU (Ukrainian Catholic University) is a private university, then the remaining top two are Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and Ostroh Academy. It’s quite natural that people are choosing to apply to us, especially given that we offer specialties like ‘National Security’ and ‘Political Science,’ which are directly related to military affairs”, Pasichnyk added.

It is worth noting that Kyrylo Budanov graduated from the Odessa Institute of Ground Forces in 2007.
