Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky, made this announcement during a press conference at Ukrinform.
“Certainly, they (in the Israeli government) hear and know that Ukraine supports Israel. You know that President Zelensky spoke with our Prime Minister immediately after what happened. We hope that President Zelensky will come to Israel. We are waiting for Zelensky in Israel, and we will be happy to see him on a visit of solidarity and support”, he said.
Brodsky emphasized that Ukraine is one of the most pro-Israel countries in Europe today and one of the few countries where there have been no expressions of support for HAMAS.
“On the contrary, we feel tremendous support from everyone – the Jewish community, Ukrainian citizens, and the Ukrainian government at all levels”, the Ambassador added.
According to the latest information, the number of Ukrainian casualties in Israel due to the HAMAS attack has risen to 25.
Earlier, Israel rejected the request from the Office of the President of Ukraine for an official visit by Volodymyr Zelensky to the country.
