The Ministry of Defense has warned of future explosions at Russian military facilities in Crimea

This was stated during a telethon.

As Humeniuk said, this year’s warm period in Crimea is declared as the “cotton season, not just a resort”. According to her, the occupiers “need to get used to” the sounds of air alerts on the peninsula.

Commenting on the construction of trenches on sandy beaches in the western part of Crimea, Humeniuk said, “I think they just won’t get to the beaches. They have already played enough in the sand. That’s where their games will end”.

Russian propagandists use the word “hlopok” (clap) instead of “explosion”  to downplay the significance of such events, a word which also means cotton. This has led to the creation of a meme during the Russian-Ukrainian war – the cotton means explosion.
