The Prime Ministers of Ukraine and Poland will discuss the border blockade

This was reported by TNV24.

The meeting between Shmyhal and Tusk will take place at the office of the Prime Minister of Poland, where consultations between the two sides will be held.

As of now, the Ukrainian delegation has already arrived in the Polish capital. According to Polish media, the meeting will not only focus on the situation in agriculture and at the Polish-Ukrainian border, but also on joint production of ammunition, energy, and culture.

The head of the Prime Minister’s Office, Jan Grabiec, noted that negotiations and meetings between individual Polish and Ukrainian ministers have been ongoing since Wednesday in the “most problematic areas”.

Today, in addition to the face-to-face meeting of the two prime ministers, a meeting of delegations of both governments is also planned. At the same time, the official stated that it is not worth expecting a breakthrough, for example, an agreement on regulating trade in agricultural products between the two countries.

Earlier, it was reported that Polish law enforcement officers detained Mykhailo Tkach near the Polish-Belarusian border. The journalist was filming material about transit of goods between Poland and Russia and Belarus.

Journalists from “Ukrayinska Pravda” conducted an investigation, which revealed a significant increase in the transit of agricultural products from Russia through Belarus to Poland. It is noted that this includes oil, seeds, and animal feed.

The organizers of the blockade in Poland, the recently created “Committee for the Protection of Carriers and Employers in the Transport Industry”, claim that the action is economic and not political. However, their actions have not found support among the authorities and other organizations of carriers. Nevertheless, the protest is being actively supported by the consistent anti-Ukrainian and anti-European party “Konfederacja”, whose representatives are the most vocal in expressing anti-Ukrainian statements, fighting against Ukrainian refugees in the media, and already billing for assistance to Ukraine and its citizens.
