According to the investigation, Fridman, one of Russia’s largest oligarchs, transferred approximately 2 billion rubles to the accounts of Russian military plants since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Specifically, he financed the “Tula Cartridge Plant,” which produces ammunition, and the “Yalamov Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant”, which manufactures high-tech equipment for Russian military aircraft and helicopters.
Fridman also used the business assets of his company, “Alfa Group”, to distribute dry rations, clothing, and other products under the “Army of Russia” brand among Russian occupiers.
Additionally, he organized the collection of material and technical assistance for the needs of Russian occupation groups, and his insurance companies insure military equipment and the lives and health of Russian soldiers on the front lines.
Furthermore, Fridman assisted in establishing mobile communication in temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine controlled by Russian special services. This was achieved through the cooperation of his own telecommunications company with the Federal Security Service (FSB).
Fridman faces up to 8 years in prison with the confiscation of his property for the crimes committed. Currently, Fridman is evading justice abroad. The SSU is taking comprehensive measures to hold him accountable.
