The Senate of the Czech Republic has adopted a resolution in support of Ukraine’s accession to NATO

This was announced by the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk.

“Today, the Senate of the Czech Republic adopted an important resolution regarding Ukraine’s prompt accession to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization”, he informed.

Stefanchuk noted that the adopted resolution emphasizes Ukraine’s determination and readiness to defend Euro-Atlantic values. According to him, the document states that Ukraine’s victory in the war with the Russian Federation and its accession to NATO are in the interests of the security of the Czech Republic.

The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada also mentioned that the resolution highlights the Czech Republic’s support for the training of Ukrainian soldiers and the provision of weapons and other military equipment to Ukraine in coordination with allies.

Furthermore, Stefanchuk added that the Senate of the Czech Republic emphasizes in the resolution that the NATO Summit in Vilnius should confirm a strong political commitment to Ukraine since Ukraine’s accession to NATO will significantly strengthen the Alliance’s military potential and preserve the international order based on the rules and norms of the United Nations.

The Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament thanked the Czech friends for their support of Ukraine.

As reported earlier, the Czech Republic intends to increase the supply of ammunition to Ukraine.
