The competition for the leadership of the party will continue: ex-Minister of Finance Rishi Sunak, ex-Minister of Defense Penny Mordaunt, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Commons Tom Tugendhat, Minister of Foreign Affairs Liz Truss, Attorney General Suella Braverman and ex-Minister of Equality and Local Government Kemi Badenoch.
Voting is being held since Thursday till the end of the next week until 2 candidates remain on the list. Then about 160,000 members of the country’s Conservative Party will vote for one of the two candidates, and the result will be announced on September 5.
