Ukrainian defense forces have carried out a series of successful operations on the left bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson direction. Intelligence is actively identifying the locations of personnel and equipment of Russian occupation forces, artillery positions, etc., with the aim of their subsequent destruction using appropriate means of attack.
The General Staff noted that heavy fighting is currently ongoing. One of the main goals of this operation is to push the enemy as far as possible from the right bank to protect the civilian population from constant Russian shelling.
“Simultaneously, our soldiers are inflicting significant losses on enemy forces, destroying equipment and personnel. Despite the substantial enemy defense line, our troops have already successfully conducted several operations. Russian forces are desperately trying to push our soldiers as far as possible, but the enemy is suffering significant losses”, the statement said.
The head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Armed Forces of Southern Ukraine, Captain 1st Rank Natalia Humeniuk, had previously reported that the main task of the Armed Forces on the left bank of the Dnieper is counter-battery warfare. This is carried out to prevent the enemy from striking the right bank of the Kherson region.
