The Ukrainian defense industry will produce 10 self-propelled artillery units (SAUs) for the first time in April

President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced this during a security situation meeting.

“Ukraine is entering into serious, long-term contracts with our enterprises, which provide predictability, the opportunity to hire people, and attract investments. This month, our industry will produce 10 Bogdan self-propelled guns for the first time, and even more are expected in May and beyond”, he said.

Recall that the combat baptism of the Bogdan self-propelled gun took place during the battle for Snake Island in 2022, where it forced Russian forces to retreat. By 2023, the Bogdan was officially adopted into the arsenal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
