Three judges of Ukraine’s Constitutional Court resign

The Constitutional Court said this in a statement.

“On Wednesday, December 7, at a special plenary session, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine considered the issue of the dismissal of judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Iryna Zovhorodnia, Serhii Sas and Ihor Slidenko from the position of judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine based on the applications submitted by them,” the statement said.

Following the meeting, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine decided to accept their resignation.

Earlier reports said that the Verkhovna Rada is working on a bill to reform the Constitutional Court in terms of the selection of judges on a competitive basis.
