This was stated in a statement by the administration of the President of France, cited by the Associated Press.
Earlier, Macron announced that France was negotiating a bilateral agreement similar to the 10-year agreement recently concluded by Ukraine with Great Britain. Currently, more details about the agreement to be signed at the Elysee Palace are not disclosed. The statement also mentions that this will be Zelensky’s third visit to Paris since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, following visits in February and May 2023.
It is noted that the working meeting will allow Macron to “confirm France’s determination to continue providing unwavering support to Ukraine and the Ukrainian people in the long term and together with all its partners”.
“Both leaders will discuss the situation on the front line, military, economic, and humanitarian needs of Ukraine, as well as negotiations on Ukraine’s efforts to join the European Union, which France fully supports”, the statement said.
Recall that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will hold talks with Olaf Scholz and Emmanuel Macron, as well as participate in the Munich Security Conference.
