Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal announced this.
Ukraine has received approximately $900 million from the IMF. These funds will be directed towards financing the budget’s priority expenditures. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva and the IMF staff “for swift decisions in favor of Ukraine and high appreciation of Ukraine’s efforts in implementing reforms”.
Earlier, Shmyhal informed that the IMF is preparing a mission for the second review of the Extended Fund Facility program. This will enable the disbursement of the next tranche of assistance.
